Payroll giving
Payroll giving is an easy way to support Arthritis Research Campaign (arc). You decide what to give and your employer deducts that amount from your pay each week or month.
As this donation is taken from your pay before tax has been paid, there is a tax advantage: it costs less to give more! For every £1 you donate, the actual cost to you will be £1 minus Income Tax at the rate you pay, so if you are a standard rate taxpayer, it will only cost you 78p. The Income Tax applicable to the donation is paid to the charity instead of the Inland Revenue.
You can alter or cancel your donation at any time - just tell your payroll office.
Pensioners receiving money through PAYE are also eligible to join the payroll giving scheme.
