Reports on the Rheumatic Diseases

arc's Reports on the Rheumatic Diseases are aimed at doctors, allied health professionals and medical students. The current series, Series 5, comprises two publications, 'Hands On' and 'Topical Reviews', which are published three times a year (currently in February, June and October).

  • 'Hands On' reports are written by specialists on subjects relevant to primary care. Each issue contains additions such as consultant comments, audit ideas, patient leaflets and case histories. (In Series 4 the equivalent report was 'In Practice'.)
  • 'Topical Reviews' reports are intended to provide authoritative overviews of current areas of clinical interest and research in rheumatic diseases. They are aimed primarily at rheumatologists in training and general physicians.

As part of the charity's educational work 'Hands On' is automatically circulated free of charge to all NHS GPs and many hospital doctors. 'Topical Reviews' is not sent automatically to GPs, but any GP or other medical professional can be added to the free mailing list.

Loose-leaf ring binders are available for storing individual issues, and each series is eventually bound as a collected reports volume.

WARNING: THESE PUBLICATIONS ARE INTENDED FOR MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS. SOME OF THEIR CONTENTS MAY BE DISTURBING TO READERS WITH ARTHRITIS OR THEIR CARERS.
