
Publications for people with arthritis
Whether you suffer from arthritis yourself, or have a family member or friend who does, this section is for you. arc publishes over 90 regularly-revised booklets, mind maps, fold-out guides and information sheets about arthritis. The majority of these publications are available on-line or can be ordered free of charge using our electronic ordering system. You may also be able to get copies from your family doctor, hospital rheumatology department or local library.

Specific conditions
There are many different forms of arthritis. arc publishes many comprehensive booklets, leaflets, mind maps and information sheets which will give you the facts about these conditions in an easy-to-understand format.
Drug information
Although there is currently no cure for arthritis there are a wide range of drug treatments available that can help reduce pain and increase mobility.
Other treatments and surgery
These publications cover a wide range of treatments available for arthritis including surgery and complementary therapies.
Living with arthritis
These publications are designed to help you manage arthritis more effectively and provide information on sex, pregnancy, exercise, diet, home life and getting about.
Children and teenagers
These publications offer help and advice to teenagers, teachers, parents and children about the types of arthritis that can affect them. Some of these booklets are specifically designed for children to read.
Resources in other languages
Following a pilot project, we have information on the condition osteomalacia in five Asian languages (as osteomalacia is a condition which particularly affects South Asians). However, we hope to add publications on other conditions in due course .
